The children of Nutkins Pre-School enter into
many different primary schools. When a child "visits" their new
school, the manager goes on the visit with them to help with the
link with the school. The closest schools are listed below; there
are close links with the schools, and involvement in liaison
groups. This involves teachers visiting Nutkins to see children in
an educational setting, also discussion with teachers on the
children to enter their class; and close links with the schools'
Special Educational Co-ordinator on any particular issues. A School
transfer document (available below), is completed for each child
and the parent reads and comments on it before it is submitted to
school, a copy is given to the parent along with a folder of the
child's "work" and a small photo album of their time spent at
Nutkins.

The academic year is September to July. In the October prior to the
year of eligibility and admission online is required.

You are required to list 3 schools in the order of your preference
having hopefully visited them to assist your selection. In the
following March/April you will hear from the authorities the
decision of the school allocated.
Register even if you already have an older child at school - you
will still have to apply in the normal way for a place for the
younger child.
